  One by one our trained volunteers are making a difference in Bryan-College Station by giving over 250,000 hours in volunteer time to our community projects in the Brazos Valley.

• League members participated in the 17th Annual Food for Families Food Drive, held on December 5, 2012, which raised more than $185,000 and 200,000 pounds of food for the Brazos Valley Food Bank.

• This past October League members volunteered at the 12th Annual Special Olympics Fall Classic during a three day softball tournament.  League Ladies gave their time to announce each game of the tournament, kept offical score books, and kept time and scores for the scoreboard.

  The 2013 Bargain Blitz and Preview Party were nothing short of AMAZING!  We set records in both attendance and sales BOTH days.  Thank you so very much to EVERYONE for making it so incredibly successful!! We are already looking forward to seeing everyone next year!!

  League ladies hosted over 100 children, ages ranging from kindergarten to 7th grade, participate in the national program Kids in the Kitchen. The goal of the Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen initiative is to promote child health and wellness by empowering children and youth to make healthy lifestyle choices, therefore preventing obesity and its associated health risks.

There are children in the Brazos Valley that rely on resources such as free or reduced-price school lunch during the school year. The Backpack Program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations.
