Success by 6, a project of the United Way of the Brazos Valley, unites a community to prepare young children and their families for the future.  Success by 6, partners with both Bryan and College Station Independent School Districts to implement the KinderReady initiative for children entering Kindergarten.  KinderReady targets students who have not received formal pre-Kindergarten classes to advance their social, emotional, and learning skills prior to starting school.

Junior League volunteers serve as teacher aids and classroom readers, engaging children in learning activities, practical exercises, and serving as a special friend or mentor to the children.  Junior League volunteers also assist teachers with data collection and assessments to measure the effectiveness of the program.
